Call for Submissions: 2021 Award for Concept Analysis in Political Science

Overview

The award is given every three years at the World Congress of the International Political Science Association (IPSA). The 7th C&M Award will be given to a scholarly work published between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2020. Any category of formal publication may be submitted, such as book, book chapter, or journal article. Only English language publications are considered. The notion of “concept analysis” is to be understood broadly. It is intended to cover concept analysis, concept formation, and conceptual innovation as well as works of operationalization, measurement, and data collection/analysis.

Jury

The members of the 2021 Award Jury are: (1) Alisha Holland (Harvard University); (2) Francisco Panizza (London School of Economics); and (3) Erica Simmons (University of Wisconsin)

Submission Guidelines

Submissions to the 2021 C&M Award for Concept Analysis in Political Science are open to authors, journal editors, and book publishers. We encourage self-nominations. When submitting the work of others, please make sure you have obtained the express consent of the author.

All submissions must include:

  • A digital copy of the work submitted;
  • a brief justification (one paragraph); and
  • contact information for the author
  • Submissions should be emailed by June 15, 2021 to the three members of the jury, with copies to the C&M Chair and Co-Chair at the following addresses:
